‘Leaf City 2’ is an original, surreal painting that symbolises climate change and the environmental dangers ahead.
The city has its foundations on the fresh, green leaf. It grows from the leaf and its streets and the leaf are one.
There are cars, a yellow taxi, and stop signs on the street/leaf. Outside the buildings trees grow from the green leaf and inside one of the buildings sits a table and chairs. No people are visible.
In the distance more buildings are evident with the haze and light from the setting sun obscuring them.
However, the leaf is only green for a short time and will eventually wither and decay. The world may look secure and safe now but this will not continue indefinitely.
